Dresden can be reached from all over the world via the major hubs. There are very good non-stop connections between Dresden and various airports in Germany (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart).
From Dresden Airport (DRS) in the north of the city, there is a direct suburban train connection (line S2 every 30 minutes) to the main railway station (journey time 20 minutes).
You can travel also via the airports Berlin (BER) or Leipzig/Halle (LEJ). There are train and Flix bus connections to Dresden main station.

By car
The A4 leads to Dresden from the west (Cologne-Eisenach-Chemnitz) and from the east (Wroclaw-Görlitz-Bautzen), the A13 from the north (Rostock-Berlin) and the A17 connects the Saxon state capital with Prague. From the direction of Magdeburg/Leipzig, the state capital Dresden can be reached via the A14 and then via the A4. Dresden is also connected to the transport network via the B6, B97, B170, B172 and B173 federal highways.
By train
ICE, EC and IC trains stop at both Dresden Central Station and Dresden-Neustadt station. International destinations such as Wroclaw, Prague, Liberec, Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna can be reached directly. You can also reach cities such as Basel, Zurich, Copenhagen and Amsterdam via night train connections with the City Night Line.

Flixbus operates several times a day to or via Dresden, depending on the route. A fast and direct connection between Berlin und Prague and the Dresden railway stations.
